Here is my timeline. I would have made it more in depth and added more of my personal thoughts, but I am very tired and drained from the snowfall. This is a very cool tool however and love that anyone could use it. It was a little tricky to figure it out to begin with but I think it’s okay. Once I understood how to format everything, I went to Wikipedia and the Canadian Encyclopedia to look at Transgender history.
I chose to do Transgender History because it’s really important to acknowledge how not long ago, trans people wouldn’t be protected under human rights. That is completely absurd to me and frankly makes me angry and emotional. It’s crazy to see how far we’ve come and how far we still need to go. I think having a visual timeline such as the one I created is helpful to understand what strides have been made for LGBTQ+ people, specifically trans.
